Veg Night

September 28, 2007

Sat from 8 to 11 watching Smallville (running tape for My Name is Earl), The Office, and ER.  Some days you just need to sit back and watch a ridiculous amount of television.

TV comment #2: Best New Show this year: Chuck.

Just Say No to unscripted reality shows.

Birthday Gift Woes

September 27, 2007

I’ve definitely reached that point in life where I make it absolutely impossible for others to buy birthday gifts for me.  My birthday is in a couple days, yet I’ve given my family no indication whatsoever of anything I might want.  The simple fact is, I don’t want anything.  Oh sure, I’d love to have a new sports car or huge new TV, but even if I had the money for such things I’d need to get them myself.  (You can’t give big dollar gifts.  It simply does not work.)  As far as lower price gifts, there’s nothing I really want.  Any electronics I want, I buy for myself.  Same thing with CDs and DVDs.  What’s that leave?  Well, I always need more socks.

Back from Vegas

September 21, 2007

We’re back from Vegas, and only $2.00 poorer. Well, not including food and other expenses. Gambling totals were $5.00 into the slots, and $3.00 back. Guess that’s not too bad. (Gambling is pretty boring, but Vegas is amazing.)

Oh yeah. Cheryl and Pat got married.

Test Blog Entry

September 8, 2007

Part of my gene pool

Nothing is quite as boring as meaningless ramblings, unless, of course, you count meaningless ramblings that are supposed to be a test.  So, here you have it.  My first ever blog and it is a complete waste of your time and mine.

And isn’t it presumptuous for me to refer to it as a test?  I mean, come on.  This site was built by genuine computer geeks that spend all day doing this stuff.  Blogs are posted everyday by tens of thousands of people, with hundreds of thousands of readers.  And here I am, claiming to be doing a test.  Doesn’t seem real necessary, does it?

Part of the reason for doing this is to be able to use my own name before that poser “filmmaker” in New York grabs my name again.

Oh.  The pic is my grandparents.  Again, just wanted to see how adding photos works.  Pathetic.
